Why would I want to play a just on par shooter with shit RPG mechanics when I can play fantastic RPG's and superb FPS's? I think this is the main thing that catches casuals into thinking it's so great and deep. Its because they've never played a good RPG or FPS and then go onto shit on everything when they haven't even experienced anything else.
Fallout 4 was fun as fuck though... for the first 20 or so hours. Then it crashed slowly but surely.
It has zero replayability and I lost interest on exploring every landmark pretty fast. I still explored about 90% of everything, ended up at 50something hours.

Because there aren't many post-apoocalyptic games that combine FPS and RPG and crafting and open world, meanwhile being very moddable? There is no serious contender to Bethesdas new Fallout series. As much as I hate to say this, they have pretty much a monopoly on this specific genre.

I managed to squeeze out 90 hours of it because I replayed it twice, and it made the issues of the game glare out even harder as I did. There were God-Tier quests like that old ship with the robots, but they were few and far between.
If only they hadn't completely destroyed the RPG part of the game. Why did they had to make four identical choices, make a voiced PC and not even feature Ron Pearlman in the intro or outro?

I thought that was a really good quest. Then I expected it to continue as I went to look for them in the second building

O-okay.
I think one of my best memories of the game was clearing Libertalia by stealthing it perfectly at night, and that could've been out of any FPS or a Hitman game, no RPG needed for that.
I kind of hope Automatron allows you to turn Codsworth into a Mister Gusty class robot, with or without the option of changing his voice.
Also, the GECK comes out next month, right?
