The game does have multiplayer.
You're all in the same universe, in the same server space.
You CAN encounter other players.
I don't know why people keep saying it's not multiplayer.
It's not traditional multiplayer in that you can choose to lobby up with a friend.
It's walled multiplayer.
You're alone.
But you CAN find another player and interact with them, if you even find them.
When they say it doesn't have traditional multiplayer yet, that's what they mean.
There's no lobby system.
It's not single player though.
