i remember Unreal Tournament having a really clean UI.

it is a great game with a lot of content
games like these are rarely ever done
the editor and modability of the game was great
I always liked getting blown apart at multiplayer matches, it was so fun to watch the madness of the gameplay. You really gotta try it. You'll obviously have a good and bad time playing this cause it's not that easy to master all the weapons,

I disabled the intros through some INI tweaks and ended up with 2003's main menu theme playing until the next time you go back to the menus

I got the whole Unreal series for 10 dollars a few years ago. It's regularly 75% off. Or get a cheap cd off the internet.
I can't say 1 is better than the other. 99 and 04 both have things better than the other. I like the gunplay and sounds of 99 better, and the vehicles and new game modes of 04 better.
