Sony will never agree to this, and Phil knows it. As far as the Xbone is concerned this is more of a push for more crossplay with the PC. There's already a few lined up, with Gigantic, Halo Wars 2, and Killer Instinct. And I think the Rocket League devs already confirmed Xbone/PC crossplay for early April.

They don't really share many games though, except for multiplats. It makes more sense with the PC because traditionally they've both shared a partial library with one another. It'd be nice to have crossplay between all systems, and it's good that MS has no problem with it, but I feel this is directed more towards the PC than the PS4.
I'm still wondering how Halo Wars 2 is gonna work with this shit. They have two options as far as I can tell: Allow k+m support on the Xbone, or dumb the game down for controller use. Otherwise it makes no sense.

FFXIV has been doing PC/PS3/PS4 for years now too. The main reason why FFXIV isn't on Xbone is because of they didn't support cross platform at the time, now they have a chance to port it.
