I played it and it was great. Everyone shat on the Wiimote and acted like it was unjustified when some of the earliest games like Elebits and Excite Truck utilized it beautifully. Most people are and forever will be stupid memesters I guess.
Only problem with Elebits is in the later, outdoor levels the FPS would nose-dive.
I think the guy who was in charge of making Wii exclusives at Konami got put on some mobile game permanently after this didn't sell well. I'll google it now.

It's too unique to classify. Uses a sort of FPS control scheme. It is similar to Katamari as it's about collecting things that make you stronger so you can collect more things.

I'm honestly impressed the game ran on the Wii at all. Not a lot of gamecube/ps2/xbox era games made use of a real physics engine, let alone with as many moving objects as there were in Elebits.

The motion controls were awful and many games that forced them was brought down by them.
Using it as a pointer was decent, but a computer mouse is better.
Wii games are better on the PC.
