Hey /v/, /k/ommando here, I was just curious what games you might consider classics for the PS2. I just read about God Hand and may try to track down a copy soon. Other than that, what would you all recommend as must haves? I own Ace Combat 4, Gran Turismo 3 and 4, ATV Offroad Fury 4, SSX 3, Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsenal, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Golden Eye: Rogue Agent. Among them, I most enjoyed AC4, Gran Turismo, and Ratchet and Clank. I also plan to purchase MGS 2 and 3 in the near future. What else can you recommend?

I got the first MGS on my computer, wasn't really the same cause of keyboard control. Also cause I enjoy using my PS2, but if anything is available on psn I might look at that, but ideally cheaper games for the PS2 are what I'm after, though I'm not really thinking of buying many of them right at the moment.

God of War 1 and 2 which are somehow more fun than GoW3.
The Warriors
Front Mission 4 and if you can play pirates then FM5 with fan translation and if you havent played FM games before emulate everything starting from FM1.
Then there is Tourist Trophy which is pretty much GT4 with bikes, lots of bikes but physics is rather weak side so might be worth getting as the only game with so many bikes in it and somewhat tolerable physics, a novelty thing if you will.

Cause the port was a standalone and my controller didn't work with it. I'm not even sure how I found the download for it but I had to leave it running all the time, cause it wouldn't launch except right after I had installed it. Where do you guys normally get your emulators?

10/10 this game and timesplitters were the best first person shooters on PS2. hands down. This game's graphics also look pretty fucking good, considering its age, but the best part, the gunplay, is amazing in this game. Especially shotguns, they feel like fucking canons
