I played MP 1 and 2 when they released and, I think MP3 is the best of the series. The story might not be up there but it's a decent one. The gameplay however, is absolutely fantastic and so much better than the first twos that, manages to make this game pull ahead.

Not really, after a few months of Tonfa fever I still see a pretty good balance of weapons used in general.
Have the very nice side effect of being able to go all offensive or all defensive depending on how you play them, but in terms of pure power in both raw and element they lag behind quite a bit all things considered.
