I rewatched the whole trilogy with some friends and we had a blast. Sadly, I couldn't stick around for Animatrix.

The sequels could have been better but I don't think they were completely awful.

That game was actually good, which is very rare for movie to game adaptations. I think it worked so well because it was "the matrix" (i.e. not real) so you could wallrun, do backflips and other cool moves while shooting a bunch of bad guys. That's exactly what a game should be, fun but obviously unrealistic, you're just there to do kung fu and have a good time.
