In an ideal rating system (one that hasn't been inflated over years of paid scores) what would be a an ideal example of a 5/10 game?
In another words, what is the most average game ever made? One that is decent enough that you might play through it once, but would never talk about it or recommended it to anyone.

But in all honesty, vidya is a highly subjective experience. Except for a few outliers (1/10 broken games and 10/10 perfections) ratings don't mean shit.

By most standards it was made well and had a unique concept.
The fact you didn't care for it, it was short and that the story was dumb are valid, and you can think it's "meh", but that's not what a 5/10 is.
The same applies to 90% of everything in this thread. Most of these are decent games with issues but some things to love too.

Alien Isolation
A great looking concept with god fucking awful writing, too long padded and boring campaing, brain dead non existent enemy ai, alien attached to you by a rope, useless gimmick gadgets, overpowered flamethrower that insta defeats the alien, the list goes on
in perfect world 5/10 would mean average, so game like this would fit exactly there

BioShock Infinite comes to mind. No replay ability whatsoever. At least the original two managed to keep me enthralled in the story enough to collect all the audiologs and whatnot.
