Usually associated with a more shitty 'dudebro' audience, despite the games actually being quite fun. Zombies mode is the main reason I bought bo3 and AW though, I don't really like multi too much, mainly since I'm going for DM and it's a tough grind.

The games themselves are usually alright and competent, but are still at the "center" of today's overabundance of "same shooter games occupying the place of original ideas", along with Asscreed, Tolkien fantasy, mobile skinner boxes and weebshit.

The story mode is usually overproduced noise that's way too short to justify the cost of admission, for one. I've rented every CoD since MW, and beaten the campaign in less than 7 hours every time, which is bullshit for a 60 dollar game. Yeah, I know, the MP is what people are there for, but even for 30 bucks it tends to be pretty anemic. The MP seems to entirely consist of 'put sights on the guy first' and you'll take them down. ADS-focused shooters take all sense of proper mobility and speed away. Now they've moved a bit away from that with AW and now BO3, where the game is a fair bit more fast-paced, but it still isn't coming close to giving me the same sense of pacing and excitement as UT2k4 and Q3 did.
Now this is just my personal opinion, and I'll fully own being a grumpy old man about it, but they personally don't appeal to me that much. The DLC plans are crazy expensive for what they are too. At the risk of being crotchety, back in my day we would get new maps for free, and the community actively made more by the truckload.

I bought into the hate for years even though I'd never played one. Got bored of the multiplayer fps games I had on console so decided to get Black Ops 3. Its not only fun as shit its got way more stuff in it than most AAA games. Multiplayer, zombies mode, campaign, an arcade game inside the campaign, split screen to play with irl friends, and a freerun/parkour mode with leaderboards. Hell you can even play against bots for practice or if the online community ever dies. I'm considering picking up older titles just to see what I've missed out on.
Can anyone give tips on what strategy to use in the Zombies map in BO3 (the non DLC one)? My brother and I can only get as far as round 8
MW2 is one of my all time favorite games. I couldn't bring myself to like the other cods as much as MW2.
