You're not telling me you actually like the story? the story is fuckin garbage. The gameplay is what matters over anything else. The first PS3 game has great gameplay decent graphics and an acceptable generic anime faggot story. Why would you not start with it? get a synopsis of the first 3 games if you are really into the story don't actually play those garbage games.

The consensus is that it's tied with Ar tonelico II, but you need to know about its predecessor's (Ciel nosurge) story to get it in full. There's a translation LP that's 3/4 of the way into it if you want to check the story.

Sorry, I have to disagree here. The battle system in 3 was the least enjoyable for me.
That aside, the whole reason EXA_PICO universe games are so enjoyable is because of the story. I'm pretty sure that's the main draw of RPGs in general. Why play if you hate the story so much?
