My last bit of hope was lost when I found out putting in Windowed mode had no actual resolutions, it just gives you an ugly border but refuses to scale down.
That mode was the closest I could get to 60fps, so now it's a bust.

I noticed that about shotguns too. If you are like any further than 10 feet even while ADS it's fucking awful while a sniper does the same damage and only needs one shot, can hold more bullets and is much more accurate.
Also LMGs do next to no DPS and only useful for suppressing

Yeah. Like you'll find a level 10,20 and 30 gun all share the same accuracy/range/clipSize and only do more damage.
Mediocre with an endgame that revolves the DZ which is just identical PvE content that you did 1-30 but with the potential for PvP, except since only 24 people are allowed in it's a mostly barren area.
You have 3 bosses, Large Machine Gun Man, Large Flamethrower Man, and a Helicopter that seems to be only in the main story.
I guess the level 32 yellow "Named" enemies could be considered mini-bosses of which you have Sniper, Shotgun, and Engineer with regular automatic rifle that can put a small turret down and hack yours.
The guns all feel the same, sniper rifles will always be the superior secondary, and sawed off shotgun will always be the superior backup "sidearm".
It's a TPS version of Destiny but worse because it lacks content to do.
Level 30 hoodie wearing assholes with baseball bats absorbing 40 bullets and not even flinching before dying will always be jarring and annoying to me.

It's boring. The world is completely dead and lifeless outside of the Dark Zone because it's instanced, so unless you're co-oping with friends, you're alone. There's no random events of any significance so getting from point A to point B is just a boring jog where you'll occasionally run into a couple looters every once in a while.
Unless you're fighting enemies that are lower level than you, you have to deal with bullet sponges. Hard modes make it even worse, and bosses are an exercise in tedium when they can eat 50+ sniper rifle rounds to the face.
The game isn't good. And frankly, shooter RPGs likely never will be.

I hated the fact that they couldn't really decide if they wanted a realistic game or not. You're fighting normal people with normal weapons but somehow they take more than a 30 rounds 7.62mm to kill. I know it's good for the gameplay to not have everyone die in one hit, but it just really breaks the immersion when you have to put a hundred bullets into a random rioter in a winter jacket to kill him.
