Sup, /v/. Im curious. What is your favorite boss fight and why?
Mine is by far Gwyn, Lord of Cinder from Dark Souls. It was so brilliantly done. The fact that there was no cutscene and that the music was so somber and melancholy added to the fight so much. You walk in and the fallen god lunges towards you and fights you with all the strength he has left. The saddest part is he wants you to defeat him so you can become to fuel for the flame, but he cant let you win. Its just amazing. Also the boss track is by far the best track in the game.
How bout you, /v/? Whats your fav boss fight?
Artorias
Mergo's Wet Nurse
The Fury
Senator Armstrong

Artorias/Sif fight from Dark Souls. Both well made. I almost cried during them, especially during Sif's fight, fuck From Soft for making me kill him.

Vergil a best.

>The Fury
good taste, badly under-appreciated boss fight
I thought nothing could top Quadraxis in terms of fun to fight and cool factor.
But Ludwig, the holy blade.... wew.
Wow.
Artorias was great, probably my favourite. Dark Souls DLC bosses are all pretty good.
In DS2 I really liked Fume Knight, the only one that really stood out for me

dark souls bosses are shitty desu
like all you do is just roll, attack, roll some more
rinse and repeat

Fume Knight took me like 30 tries but it was satisfying to finally beat him. Sir Alonne, from the same DLC, was pretty cool too.

DeS has gimmicks for almost every one of their bosses.
DaS and DaS2 failed in making the fights interesting. Instead they focused on making fights difficult.
Dark Nuts and Ganondorf in Twilight Princess.

Credo from DMC4
>tfw you grab one of his flying spears for the first time and fling it back at him
>tablehopping his half health sword strikes
It makes me get so fucking pumped just thinking about it.
