I've never liked mercenaries mode in the resident evil games. Im in it for the story and adventure, playing for points or score doesnt really do it for me. Is it true that Revelation 2 is basically a big mercenaries mode. I've steered very fucking clear of it since then. Is this true or have i been bamboozled.

I think its the best RE game to come out since 4. The co-op gameplay was really different, and having a 2-player RE where one player didn't have a gun was a big risk but it paid off big time with a really unique system.

I enjoyed it. I thought it'd of been better if they just split Claire and Barry's games like the way it is in Resident Evil 2 instead of intertwining it together.
I also played the 360 disc version, and holy shit the frame rate is so goddamned horrible. I kind of wonder if the other versions are any better.

It was definitely better than the first one. It had some cool bosses and environments, and a few great moments, although some (like the invisible bugs) were overused. It had a lot of mediocre filler too though. The story was shit but that's to be expected of Resident Evil at this point.

The overall gameplay and atmosphere is tight. Raid Mode is especially playable. Main problem here is the lack of alluring protagonists and meaningful story elements.
