The trick with that one is to press A half a second after you expect to. The slaps go between the music beats, if that makes any fucking sense.

You have to press to the beat, not necessarily to the cues they give you. If you can play Mother 3 you can play this. Just waggle your finger to the beat or tap your foot or something. You have to get a feel for it. You need to be able to hit the cues at the very same time they appear, or in other words you need to predict them.

You count in 4/4 (1,2,3,4) which are quarter notes.
Regular monkeys come in on beats 2 and 4.
Eighth notes are counted as 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &. Think of it as adding an extra note equally distanced between the quarter notes.
Glasses monkeys come in on the AND eighth note of 3 and 4.
So yeah.
It baffles me how often I hear complaints about this game. It might be the easiest one in the game

I play rhythm heaven and drink a considerable amount of alcohol, I'v done drugs and played this game. I still do really well. I'v perfected most of the game i just can't do monkey watch.

There's no other way to put it. The cues in-game are not helpful when the rhythm changes and you tend to miss while trying to correct your rhythm. You have to actually listen to the beat behind them and be ready to predict when they will sound.
