1 is a decent 3ds mascot platformer in the vein of Mario 64/banjo/etc. 2 takes it to more open ended environments with more of a mission based structure while keeping the game play (unlike nuts not bolts), and ty 3 is basically more of the second with new environments.
Overall they aren't bad games, just not remarkable.

Maybe I played it too late but I thought the game was kind of generic, especially when you find out it has 3/4 themes that it drags in each world.
The gameplay was good though.

It's just a port, not a remaster. I'd prefer a remaster too, but it was my understanding that the devs went bankrupt or something years ago, so I guess in way I'm surprised we're getting even this much.

To be fair, the game is 15 years old. The devs want to improve upon it (at least according to the early access description). Hence the early access.
