Is there a place in gaming for shameless sexual content? I'm obviously aware of the big schoolyard fight that's going on in the industry at the moment about what games should and shouldn't be, but do you think there's a place in that vision for porn? Games like Senran Kagura and DoA Xtreme are titilation for titilation's sake, and isn't that okay? If there's a market for it, why should creative types not cater to that demographic? Can't we create games aimed squarely at a horny audience and that audience enjoy said erotic content and everyone be, I don't know, okay with that exchange? If movies and books can have erotica, why can't we?

because theres a perception in the west that vidya is for children. Even if demographics tell us that isnt true its still the opinion of the majority of people out there even if they dont actually play games at all.
with that in mind its awful PR to put out a porn game, at least on consoles. The money they could make on such a game is nothing compared to what they would have to spend trying to save their reputation from people calling them dirty porn pedllers.
This isnt an issue in Japan where there was nerver a marketing blitz to rebrand vidya as toys for kids. Without that notion in peoples heads theres no arguement.
