I wish the battery slot wasn't fucked up, it keeps tilting my analog all over the place and turning menus on for no reason, it's lame while playing. It's ok for jrpg but third birthday was a mess.

Maybe the O3DS but I don't think its more powerful than the N3DS. 3DS has official emulators which are near perfect with the Virtual Consoles, and you can inject roms into them to play just about anything. I can play literally ever handheld nintendo game with a 3DS with CFW and a DS flashcart, as well as play NES and SNES games. I believe theres a Genesis emulator as well.

I said it had an okay catalog but there's only so many of those games that are good like most handhelds it's catalog was largely no-name entries.
I never said the vita was better. As far as I'm concerned the Vita was sold on the promise you'd be able to play your console remotely which it largely broke. To me that makes it a failure.

Been playing some games on PPSSPP on my phone lately.
As long as you aren't playing like a platformer or action game, the touch controls are sufficient usually (RPGs are great)
great on commutes. once hacked you have enough games/emulation/music. You can still nab some for cheap and the battery lasts a long time if you take care of the damn thing. still my favorite way to play shit from the past on the go.

but I'd say no. As much as I liked the PSP the screens got dead pixels a lot and the motherboards die from this and that, and the analogs assembly often needs replacement (which is relatively easy and inexpensive). I think you could probably do better with a handheld emulator like the tons the Chinese make.

like, if you have games that need it, you might be SOL (the way the analog stick is designed is the absolute worst, the slightest bend/twist in the system is enough to break contact, it's so fucking bad)

O3DS has better video (actual shaders and shit) and that's about it. Per-clock, they're pretty close, maybe the PSP edges it out a bit.

Heck no. Face buttons is one of the few things the Vita did right. PSPs felt like you were pressing mush.
