The "Nintendo's Lightning" is insulting because it implies people care about Rosalina on a similair level to a much bigger character of a much bigger franchise.

The amount of rings increasing your top speed mechanic was actually used in Unleashed, but it's not very noticeable since it's so easy to gain a ton of rings in that game.Also Unleashed sucks.
