How the hell do people know where to go in these trackmania maps? Those particular webms aren't too bad since there's arrows, but I've seen so many where it's like a huge area with multiple paths and the player just seems to "know" which direction to go.

Ah, OK. I was assuming people were spawning into these maps and picking up some some sort of cues that I can't see to figure out where to go. Are the games fun? I've never played them but I've always wanted to try one. Which one is the best to buy? I'm trying to find some games with a "gotta go fast" feel. Played Distance and TEC 3001 and those were awesome.

Not him, but I play Canyon and Stadium, they're both fun in their own way, but I prefer Canyon more. It's seriously trial and error with these maps. You normally have around 6 minutes to get your best time on a course, that normally being anywhere from 40-30 seconds, but tracks come shorter and longer, easier or harder, it just depends on the server. Definitely worth the money I paid for it, there's almost no beating the pure FAST you feel

There's not much to compete with, people don't talk much and you basically just see their ghosts and times, it's a rotating map service essentially, but yeah, there's a ton of single-player maps that come default and a fuckload of maps on the steam community hub. If you do get the game, the best and only tip I can give you for going faster is don't drift if you don't have to.
