See, I wouldn't be even remotely angry if it didn't carry the "Prime" name. If they went with a name like "Federation Force" with some sort of subtitle that mentioned it was set in the Metroid universe, I'd be fine with it. The fact that it's called "Metroid Prime: Federation Force" implies it's part of the Prime series (as in, made by Retro, in the same style as MP1-3 and Hunters), except that you play as the Feds instead of Samus.
What I don't get is why we couldn't just have Republic Commando: Metroid Edition. All they had to do was make a RC squad type game set in the Metroid universe. Instead, we got chibis playing soccer.
If you can remove Metroid from the equation you still have to admit the game isn't anything to get hyped about, we saw it all at E3 and how boring and shoddy it was.

Hunters was designed to mimic Prime 1-3 in basically every way, except for its multiplayer (which was an expansion of Prime 2's, really). My point is that Fed Force doesn't have the feel that the others had. I don't want chibis, and I certainly don't want soccer.
If I were to have my way, Fed Force would carry the same "fearful" or "grim" music and atmosphere of the Prime series. Most notably, the Prime series was able to give off a bit of a unsettling atmosphere with things such as the dark world or all the massive abandoned cities (often with dead bodies and the like strewn about). The difference would be that FF would be a squad based co-op game instead of exploration.

Bruh, they've been incompetent after Punch Out Wii ever since. Its just a natural erosion of talent and freedom common with longstanding relationships with Nintendo. Dark Moon couldn't maintain a stable 30 FPS while sucking up 2 or more ghosts at once at early E3 showings and the visuals are nothing to write home about either. And as usual Miyamoto fucking things up like making a staircase a boss and making it mini-missions with E. Gadd pestering you nonstop.
