You just need to git gud.

Base damage is extremely low on anything that's not a sniper rifle, but the headshot damage multiplier is 3x to 10x damage. The movement is much more reminiscent of older shooters that had quite weightless movement. You can instantly change directions which is a good tactic both to use and get used to seeing. Outplaying your opponent's strafing is a fun way to predict where he's gonna juke and get 4-5 headshots off, which will generally kill them unless you're a grunt and they're a 1k hero. Unless you're a shotgun grunt, cause being good with a shotgun is a great way to kill 1k heroes. They go down in 3 or so headshots with the shotgun.

The guns in this one feel TOO floaty and literally are peashooters.
The sound direction is absolutely garbage too.

Basic sniper is hitscan.

Or do you mean the DMR? The DMR sucks, it's a noobtrap weapon by and large. The basic AR is actually really damn good at close range if you can predict your opponent's moves. It deals less damage per bullet but has a significantly higher RoF, so if you're accurate you can kill a lot quicker with the AR than the pistol.

Varies based on the map and whether GDI is any good or not.
If GDI is bad they get the fuck rushed out of them at the start and then lose. If GDI is good and Nod sucks Nod loses at minute 5 to the first Med rush.
If both teams are good it generally devolves into a siege and tunnel fighting until one side organizes a good rush or someone manages to sneak a nuke/c4.

The air maps tend to last 10-20 minutes because inevitably someone either gets a good chopper rush going and blows up the enemy base or someone gets dropped in behind enemy lines and c4s the rear buildings, while something like Island can go to time frequently if Nod can't take field early but GDI can't bottle up Nod. Generally if GDI can siege Nod they win in about 3 minutes if Nod can't push them back. It's a very dynamic game I'll say that much, the maps are the biggest indicator of how long a match will go. Eyes will got to at least 30, while I've not seen Whiteout go to time in 4 patches.

GDI spamming Mammoths on anything that's not Whiteout or that one island map with air units is a pretty good indicator of a bad GDI team, and a good or at least decent Nod team will just grab a bunch of AT and make short work of the Mammoth Horde before it gets to the base.
Mammoths are too slow and big to be of much use en masse. You get one, at most two, and three Hotwires to tank during a siege until everyone is ready to rush. Then he goes in first and absorbs as much punishment as he can while the mediums behind him penetrate as deep as they can and escort the APC full of Mobius's to the backline.

You need to download the latest version off the website. The old servers are dead, the new servers are quite live. Not bustling, but you can almost always find a game during the day.
Also the new client has an auto updater so if you do download it that would be the last time you'd have to do so.

You do realise that there were attempts to have 64 player limit or even 100 player limit, but matches ended up being complete clustefuck due to maps being made for 40 players max.

I actually would also like to see 100+ players on the map, but map would have to be 4x bigger than current maps are.
I don't know how much programming wizardry would be needed to make UDK and serverside work properly with 100 players on fuckhueg map.

They werent a clusterfuck i played when it was first released when they had larger servers it was actually much more fun with longer games and bigger stalemates.

Infact only a few people complainec about big servers ontop of that most of the few where shit server operators that couldnt handle it. Instead of giving the community the option the dumbass developers closed it off.

You can always before join a smaller server but now you can never join a big one. Just another example of dumb developers limiting there community.

When devs dont put in the time to listen to there community and act like man children i instantly dropped the game sinxe it can and will only get worse.
