I heard that my first BL2 playthrough and thought it had to be a deliberate reference.
Both are even places where creepy human/animal research happens
Just started playing this game for the first time. Most of the soundtrack so far like the tutorial sounds like it came from the era but once I got to the offices underneath the Statue of Liberty I did a double take because that track sounded so modern. Overall all the music so far had great atmosphere but the offices were just so good. Can't wait to hear the rest of the game's tracks.

Also why is the game so buggy, holy shit, as soon as I use any object or weapon 3 or 4 times I then lose all control of it and can't switch to another one or pick up anything else unless I drop it first. And even then the hand and weapon stay there even if I dropped it so I'm running around with an extra set of hands. So frustrating that I'm about to play through the game with cheats because it's near unplayable unless I'm constantly dropping stuff. Atmosphere is so good, but the game is so damn buggy.

Always reminds me of when Jaime provides the Gunther killphrase. I know he gives you an upgrade capsule in Hong Kong, but I stopped using augmentations on my later playthroughs and this is more satisfying.
