do you still play them? which ones? I am getting to the point where I can't play them anymore, they're just too campy. I miss arena shooters, do you think they'll ever come back or are we fucked forever? also whats the point in casualizing them if we have competitive ranks to separate the good from the bad?

Still playing Doom on sourceports, going through the fuckhuge back-catalogue of random wads and conversions.
Not happy about Halo: Pentagram Edition usurping the name, don't want to have to add a caveat every time someone asks if I play Doom.
Also tried some weird obscure games like Firestarter, GSC Gameworld's second FPS attempt, an arena shooter with a 'plot'.
