Uninstalled LoL recently after being into it for god knows how many years.
I realised that not only it was a time vampire, but I was using it as a social crutch to make up for the fact that I never went out.
Best recent decision I've made.

The problem with dota is that it's a completely toxic environment full of pain and negative energy. Most games, when you lose, you don't have to wait between 30 and 120 minutes for the pain to end. There's a constant tension from the start of the game that doesn't disappear unless you utterly trash your opponents.
In a game of dota, by the end, between 5 and 10 people didn't have fun and feel worse than when they started. You can play, lose, which took an hour, then have the same experience happen again. Your entire day can be decided by how your dota games went.
To me it became an obsession and whether I won or lost was the deciding factor in how I felt the rest of the day. Maybe this is just my experience but leaving the toxicity (of our city) feels refreshing.

The thing is though, at least if you play a real team sport like basketball or something, even if you feel the pain of losing you at least got exercise and you were out there doing something. With dota it's the same concept but you don't get any exercise and get those sweet endorphins.
To me, it's rarely fun if you lose because it's difficult to comeback from getting trashed, and a lot of the time you can play near flawlessly and still lose due to teammates. At least in other games the game is over after 10 minutes and you can find new teammates.
