The people how say that don't fucking play Doom naver, the game never were that fast, just some few levels. Also, the places where enormous, in Doom 3 you go a little slow for the small places. And in Doom 4 you are fast like the old game.
Also, Doom came first with the futuristic space theme, and the new one is the same, how it would be a Halo clone? If you think that, so Halo is a Doom clone in that case.

Putting "muh" in front and "XD" at the end of an argument doesn't nullify it. Doom 4 is not nearly as fast as old Doom, and the focus on melee kills slows down the pace tremendously.
It will most likely be alot better than other modern shooters, but that doesn't make it a return to form.
