How come modern casual vidya fags that suck at video games and get their asses beat at Bloodborne pretend to like it? Like all DSP did was rage at BB. Throughout his playthrough he was getting assravaged and calling the game shit but then he claimed that BB was his favourite game of the year (and he couldn't even beat the DLC and ragequit at Ludwig).
Do shitty gamers just pretend to love Bloodborne/Souls because that's what the meme dictates? If they say they don't like it are they worried about being shitted on or something? I love Bloodborne because I actually do, not because it's expected of me, but it seems like these guys are just pretending to like the game so that people don't call them out as plebs or something. I've seen reviewers shit on other games for being 'too hard', but for some reason Bloodborne and Souls seems to get a pass when I don't doubt the games kicked their asses harder than any other games they played. i gave it a try. got passed the 2nd boss but really lost interest in it. all it was is patience. aggro a guy from a group, keep your distance, wait for them to swing so you have an opening to hit and then go back to keeping your distance. it wasn't what i would call hard just tedious.

Personally I do not like FROMshit, the gameplay is just too bad. I'm cautiously optimistic about them focusing on mechshit now instead of bad ARPGS.

Its not really just patience, if you know where to go and what to do or even just have the right build you can get through a good amount of the game fairly easily but that requires you actually try over and over so that you learn how to do those things or, in the case of many players, you look up a guide online. Its not that its just tedious, its that the game's style might just not be for you.

I honestly don't know, because I barely buy any game these days unless its one I know I'll like. But Dark Souls / Bloodborne have received so much praise despite the difficulty being what most fans enjoy and the company not REALLY entirely compromising that aspect tells me something about difficulty has to be coming back. Then again, you've got all these shit gamers and LPers crying about the difficulty of modern games, which in many cases is a joke. So I just don't know.

I have a love/hate relationship with the souls games. They have so much nonsense in them but i am never apathetic when i am playing the games which is fucking fantastic. They are also one of the few games which are actually fun to discuss with friends. I played through the games in parallel with my brothers and we were constantly shouting at each other to come and watch something cool in the game.
That does not happen in other games. "Hey come and watch me play this mission in far cry" .... won't happen.
But the "git guddd" community is so annoying and it really feels like some use the game to feel like the are apart of a group or something. Dark Souls is zuper hardcore that only zie supermenchen like us can complete, am i right guys?
