What was the weapon you fell in love with on your first playthrough in every Soul installment?
I played Dark Souls first and stuck with the Halberd until I eventually got a BKH. Eventually though I came to love the Longsword.
In DeS it's the Bastard Sword.
Bloodborne is the Saw Spear, though I love pretty much all the DLC weapons too.
Dark Souls III will probably end up being a strength weapon, I don't like how light and quick the Longsword looks in that, and the Greatsword weapon art looks irresistible.
Uchigatana on Dark 1
I got the BKH on my first playthrough from the first Black Knight with the BKH in the Forest.
It made the game an absolute cakewalk.
Balder Side Sword is still my weaponfu though.

I liked the moveset a lot, but didn't used it first because it required twinks which were super rare and a real fucking pain to farm during release.
Probably the Lucerne in dark souls, I like polearms, and I like war picks/hammers. It also has a nice lunge attack after a backstep, which catches other players off guard pretty often, probably because nobody uses halberds and they don't know the moveset very well.
Can't think of a clear favorite from Demons souls, but I generally used the basic flanged mace that the cleric starts out with, because fuck yeah maces.I have yet to play DaS2

For DaS I played around until I got the halberd, and fell in love with the moveset. Then I started toying around with the Zweihander because I wanted to be le funny may may Giantdad, but I like the stopping power and the weight behind it.

The Halberd was my go to for the absolute longest time, and it's still one of my top favorites. That thing is a killer two-handed.
Butcher "Knife" is another top biller for me, especially with a FTH build.

The Man-Serpent Greatsword, hands down.
The Uchigatana, Washing Pole, and Demon's Great Machete are close runner ups, though. I feel like Dark Souls has a ton of awesome and fun weapons, but I have a hard time until I get a good one.

I had a hard time finding a weapon I truly loved. I stuck with the Large Club for my first playthrough and it was pretty serviceable but once I finally discovered the Gyrm Axe and, even more so, the Gyrm Greataxe, I never looked back. The Lion Axe is nice too.

I tried a lot of weapons and most of them have great strengths and weaknesses, but, for me, nothing tops the Kirkhammer. I know it's generally seen as a weaker Ludwig's but I fucking love it.
Hunter's Axe is my backup and it's absolutely lovely as well. I can't wait to try out the DLC one day.

DeS: Crushing Battle Axe I didn't really understand how the stats worked. But I knew if I increased strength with the axe, then I do more damage. I liked the moveset as well. It was the weapon I beat Flame Lurker with.
DaS: Halberd. I had a slightly better understanding of stats by this point. I liked the halberd's reach and immediacy. When you press attack, the thing barely moves, and the tip does a great amount of damage. It was perfect!
DaS2: I hated all the weapons. Holy shit. They also suck. Fuck all of the weapons feel like shit. I don't even remember what my first playthrough weapon was.

On my first Dark Souls run, I switched 50/50 between halberd and claymore, although I can't remember which I clicked with first. They're still two of my favourite weapons in the series, I just hate how the halberd sucks in DaS2 and DeS. The movesets feel like shit in other games and the damage was practically halved.
Anything that does heavy poise damage in Dark Souls PvP is alright in my book. Especially the Darksword, people always underestimate its stunlock potential

That's the part that sucked for me, I looked up a wiki after finishing it. The only thing I missed was one 2 of the Umbilical Cords.
I even found the mother brain. The way loot was distributed as well made exploring just a snorefest.

Dark Souls was the Claymore. Versatile and straightforward, looked great on my shoulder.

2-handing the Great Sword carried me through most of Demon's Souls, add in the Silver Catalyst for ranged attacks and Adjudicator's Shield + Regenerator's Ring and I was pretty much invincible for the last 1/3 of my playthrough.
Playing Dark for the first time (on Sen's Fortress right now), I was rocking the Zwei for a while but traded that in it for the Dark Knight Sword + shield and added pyromancy to give me some range.
I've only gotten the chance to play a tiny bit of Bloodborne but I loved the axe's spin attack.

this is true, I thought it had the best combat in the series, but weapons being really specific to builds that only allowed the use of like 2 other weapons (usually sub optimal), it fell short on replay value for me, like it exists only to pvp in, as new game+ is boring as fuck.
And even then, I couldn't bother making a pure PVP character after my first clear, my first run was a quality str/skl build that used ludwigs, which is so noob friendly it may have killed some enjoyment.
My second build was going to be a skill bloodtinge build to roll reiterpallasch or maybe flip it to a bt/skl build and use chikage, but couldn't bother to play through the game again.
Still I loved the game, but it does feel it lacks the replay value that other souls games have just from build variation alone, despite its stellar combat.

My DaS weaponfu is the Estoc. I started with the scimitar and then in undead parish decided it was shit and just tried out the first weapon in my inventory that did higher damage. I didn't understand the mechanics too well like scaling and such so I didn't understand it wasn't the best weapon, but after a while I just got so used to it anything else felt wrong. Besides, thrusting swords are perfect for turtling.

I just liked the special R2 anon. I had just come off of over a thousand hours of Demon's Souls and the second I learned that weapons in Dark Souls were going to have unique special attacks, I was hyped. I did shoot arrows at the hellkite dragon because that's how i killed the dragons in DeS and that's what my instinct told me to do, and yes I did get the Drake Sword super early, and yes it outclassed the other weaposn i was using for quite a bit, but unlike many others i didn't fall into the trap of using it like a crutch. I just spammed the R2 to feel fancy and only cleared upper and lower burg with it. When i got to the forest, and blight town, i was using the claymore.

I didin't find every weapon my first playthrough because it was a blind playthrough. I had little to no prior knowledge of Dark Souls before I played it. I didn't know what was the best weapon stat wise. Hell, I wasn't smart enough to figure out how online worked until I was on my second playthrough. The Server was the weapon I used my first playthrough, and it is still my favorite design of any weapon in a Souls game.
If you think its dumb looking. Or if you think its bad. Thats fantastic. But it doesn't change my love of the weapon.
