In addition to being another M.B. (Madeline Bergman) she is also another M.B. (Mother Brain), in humanoid android form! And let us not forget, the federation was creating Other Metroids. Also, the MOther given the all of the terribly handled maternal themes but that's already been covered.
It's been so long since I've thought about Other M with in any level of detail that I've just come to take for granted that it's terrible while forgetting a lot of the reasons why, but now that I'm actually remembering the story again...wow, just wow, it really was a trainwreck.
