the other ones are either too open or too linear, sunshine hit the perfect balance and has literally flawless mechanics and controls, with the main thing holding the game back is it didn't have a sequel to properly take advantage of them ala mario galaxy 2

Sunshine would have been amazing as a new up but its just not a great mario game.
Sunshine was my childhood Mario platformer.I worked my ass off to find all of the shine sprites, but Noki Bay was my scrub detector and flung my shit around.
I really want to finish it off now that I have the skills, but I need to find my save file.

I didn't like SMG too much because it felt a lot more linear and had forced waggle which i just couldn't get used to. The music and graphics were amazing though.
Didn't bother with 3d world because I don't own a wiiU (and will never get one, unless SMS2) and played it at my friend's house. It was shit for the hours I played
