I tried putting a 3x3 together, but I don't feel very strongly about some of these. I guess I need to play more games or something.

By the way, did that guy ever finish the Summon Night 5 voice patch?

You get two pretty good games(Didn't play 3 so I can't really say anything about it) so sure go ahead.

But PS1/2 emulation is not that good.

That's pretty true. "RPG" is a terrible term since the genre's criteria has little to nothing to do with "role playing".
But categorization doesn't really matter at the end of the day, what matters is whether the game is good or not.

Anyways, I'm interested in trying the Wild Arms series but I don't know where to start. Do they all have random battles? Can you beat them without fighting random battles? How much strategy is involved in the gameplay?

Capcom is doing pretty good lately, they're really moving out of the slump they've been in for so long.

Renewed focus on old DMC and old Resident Evil, Dragon's Dogma getting a quality PC port and maybe a sequel as a result, their attempts to push Monster Hunter into the west are more successful.

Who knows? Maybe we'll end up getting a faithful and well made Breath of Fire VI- Oh... Ohhhh nooooo...
>>
>>323409109
Capcom owns Monster Hunter, which is like crack for yellow people. They won't be going bankrupt any time soon.
>>
Can't pick a favourite because I've only played a few, mostly just the FF games. I've got a bad habit of picking heaps up and taking for ever to get through them, it took me ages to finish P3FES but I got through it eventually and want to play mainline.

I don't recognize the tree or the left or right bottom row, what games?
>>
>>323411190
Middle Right is Legend of Mana for the PS1.
Bottom Left is Suikoden II for the PS1.
Bottom Right is Terranigma for the SNES.

All three are masterpieces.

As the OP of the last thread and this one, I don't think so. Not on /v/. Especially not after that long.

Chock it up to a lazy janny deleting a video games thread because a couple retards were shitposting. Instead of just deleting the shitposts.

Or maybe a mod just doesn't like me. I was supposed to be banned right now for making an Umihara Kawase thread, but it disappeared long before it expired so I guess somebody undid it.

I really wish they would at least open up a mainline MonHun to ps4. I'd buy one instantly for some nextgen hunts.
>>
>>323406330
FF7, no contest.

Breath of Fire 3 and Star Ocean 2 are good too.

Even as a PC gamer, I'd buy a PS4 for a home console Monster Hunter.

Imagine a MonHun on PC though, from MT Frameworks. 4k 144FPS huntan.

Lately, I've been extremely enjoying the Kiseki/Trails games, and I probably would put them in my favorites list. Next to them, I'd also put the Breath of Fire series since the first four games are damn solid. I haven't played enough of the games to talk about both series as a whole, but I also greatly enjoyed Grandia 2 and Frontier SaGa, so I need to check out more of those games.

Cool collection. Especially Monobeno. We could discuss hype for Maitetsu now, but I guess you might be the guy from yesterday. Probably not too many Lose fans on /v/.

I now live in Japan, but I'll have to go back in few months, so for now I'm waiting with building my eroge collection. Once I'll be able to say permanently, I'll get into it.
>>
>>323419289
What about DA2?
>>
>>323419628
Everything after ME2 was really MEH
>>
>>323419079
Any good websites for import then ? I only know about play-asia
>>
>>323419723
Not him, but Mandarake is a good alternative source. I liked using the Suruguya shop on Rakuten's site as well, but they're Japan only now, so if you know how to get past that, then they're a pretty good shop.
>>
>>323419723
Yet another guy here. I usually use Amiami and Solaris Japan, you may want to check them out.
>>
>>323406330
Chrono Cross, Grandia, FF7, Dragon Warrior Monsters, Monster Rancher
>>
>>323420250
Solaris looks great, thanks for the discovery.
>>323419865
I've only heard about Mandarake and Rakuten JP as something you can only access if you're in Japan. Didn't know they supported import.
>>
>>323420752
Friend. he probably means you should use a forwarding service.

Or just ask someone who lives in Japan. I'd do it... just kidding, it would be too bothersome, sorry. Forwarding service is paid, but you have some guarantee that it won't fuck you.
>>
>>323419706
Well I actually liked DA2 more than DAO and ME3 more than both ME2 and ME1
DAO felt incredibly generic and predictable
Everything was formulaic as fuck
At least DA2 tried new stuff and while rushed it ended up being better than DAO
ME3 was better than ME2 on all accounts, ending aside
>>
Does Dark Souls count as a JRPG? It's an RPG made in Japan after all.
>>
>>323420858
I may sound lazy but that sounds more complicated than just ordering them directly towards my house.
However I'll be in Japan the whole summer so I'll definitely get a lot of stuff from there.
>>
>>323420968
>I may sound lazy but that sounds more complicated than just ordering them directly towards my house.

Hardly. I used it once and at its simplest you just write an email telling them what you want and they tell you how much you need to pay and then they send it to you. Strictly speaking it's the same process as buying in an e-shop - order -> pay -> recieve.

But if you'll come visit to Japan, it's best if you just get whatever you want directly. Just be careful at border controls when you fly back. They might not like your evil porn books. (You'll get evil porn books, right?)
>>
>>323421152
I'll try to get them porn books but "evil" ones ? I don't know. The majority of what I'll bring back will definitely be video games, anyway.
>>
Grandia 1-2, Tales of Symphonia, Wildarms.
>>
>>323421258
Some countries forbid import and export of any porn. But the question is if it's actualy upheld.

And evil? Well the ones with girls of low size. I might have some under my bed, but don't tell anyone.
>>
>>323420903
There was some autism in the last thread about how it can't be a JRPG because it's an ARPG. But it's a Japanese Action Role Playing Game, so yeah it's a JRPG.

>>
>>323421467
Well I consider KH games as jrpgs so it counts
>>
>>323421978
Not him, but on PS1 there are many. Like Mizzurna Falls, Gunparade March, London Seirei Tanteidan, Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, PS1 version of Ultima Underworld etc.

Saturn also has many Japan-only games.
>>
>>323422130
exactly what i was looking for. thanks buddy.
