What games have some actual interesting styles and environment? I want something that makes me say wow when I look at it. Everything seems so boring and samey right now.
I don't know

Xenoblade and Xenoblade Chronicles X have some amazing environments.
>>323368917

xenoblade x is basically just interesting styles and environment so i think youll probably like it.skip every cutscene, the characters are garbage
>>323368715
Vanillaware's environments are beautiful. Try Dragon's crown if you haven't. They also have an Odin Sphere remake coming out soon.
El Shaddai
The Void
Bam, there you go.
>>323368715
Bloodborne
>>323369631

El shaddai is such a shit game. It looks amazing, but its still shit
You can add Baroque on the heap of shit games that look and sound interesting but have awful gameplay.
Anything by Ice-Pick Lodge qualifies for this as well.

Souls Games
El Shaddai. Gameplay is barely okay but it really has some interesting enviroments
>>323369875
For what reason were these creatures given the name "Gondola?"
>>323368715
What counts as interesting? Personally I really want some kind of game where you explore old abandoned civilization.
>>323369056
Geologically, this makes no fucking sense. But it's pretty cool.
Bloodborne had some very interesting areas. I like the whole gothic thing they got going on, and the sky is beautiful.
>>323370578
Uhhh... Souls games anon, that's literally the premise for Dark Souls 1
>>323370362
>Souls Games
Other than a few places in Blight Town or the Valley of Defilement. There really ain't that many great scenarios on Souls series.
Skyrim had a lot better views.

I wish there were more fantasy games that didn't look geologically possible. Too bad none of the good artists would probably bother with the gaming industry and making such strange worlds would be too daunting of a task for the hacks who work for vidya.
I think the last time I was truly wowed by an alien landscape in a video game was when they were still 2D, and the art was heavily influenced by Roger Dean (if it wasn't made by him, I dunno).
>>323370389
Because Italian made them.
>>323369709
That's what I was going to recommend as well. Vanillaware is really hard to beat on that regard.
Okami also might be a good choice.

Just like the gondola that floats along down the river off life he himself is everywhere yet never leaves his mark on the blue waters the ocean of our existence.
>>323370637
Anytime I see that bullshot I always post this comparison image. I just wish Fromsoft wouldn't downgrade their games so much. I could understand the need to scale back textures for a console release, but why would the devs completely destroy the beauty of the scene like this? Pic related, the comparison is insane.

consoles can't handle advanced lighting. It's very demanding but it can have such a massive improvement on the atmosphere of a game.
bloodbourne is a very nice game artistically but graphically it's ass. I really wish I could have played it on myPC
Ori and the blind forest
Yume nikki
Blood born
OFF
Jazz punk
Not sure exactly what you're looking for but plenty of good stuff in this thread.

That would have been much more moving if it had some proper punctuation.
