So now that he's gone, what's the chance of ever seeing another Half-Life game?
Who's that? The guy that voiced Marcus Fenix?

who dat
What game? Who?
It's been 9 years, just give up already.

What are you talking about? The third installment in the Half Life series is coming out in July, according my buddy at nvidia.

imagine that a writers work pertaining to a game is done mostly before there even is a game.

gaben has said prior to HL2 that neither time nor money are any concern to the production of the game, that they can purchase any engine and hire any specialist for it, now imagine that attitude backed by a literal billion dollar company.
If Valve was about money they´d have sold steam to MS or EA years ago. Any argumentation that it has taken too long already or can´t possibly be financially successful are moot, because it doesn´t have to be on time, or financially successful.
Valve is wasting absurd sums of money on steam machines, why would they not waste money and time on HL3?
At this point they shouldn't make half life. It'll get choked out by anticipation and hype, not even a great game can surpass expectations after this long.

Because if the game sucks its a huge fucking hit for Valve. I get what you are saying, but it's not a "we have nothing to lose" situation.

This. They've basically dug themselves into a hole by leaving it this long
>>323316315
could it be they are just making a really sofisticated new system that keeping it hush hush pushed development back for years.
>>323311650
He finished the story, Valve just doesn't need him anymore.

It's possible that it could just be stuck in development hell, although if that were the case something surely would have been leaked by now
