In PoE, really easily. There's a group finder in every town and they pretty much always have a bunch of parties up, ranging from grinding to rushing to playing the game for the first time.
On top of that, global chat can help you find people to play with pretty easily.

they had one job; just have a bunch of tilesets and a good random map generator to make bottomless dungeons full of monsters. instead you grind the same small linear maps over and over with different colored smoke (with many of them being shitty narrow caves or a huge desert with nothing but 20 monsters) and you actually have to "fish" for good maps with a good amount of monsters.
and of course since blizzard can't monetize it they only keep it maintained by a skeleton crew of people who trickle out a few tablespoons of stuff every 3-4 months. the diablo booth at blizzcon was some closet tucked way away in the back corner of the building, it's just sad really.

Diablo WAS originally designed as a turn-based game, but David Brevik(the guy building the game at the time) was strongly suggested during one of the cross-company visits to try making it realtime. It hadn't crossed his mind, but after about an hour or two of work, he had a crude mockup coded, and LOVED the gameplay change, which quickly caught on with the rest of the team once they got their hands on it.

Diablo 1 has great atmosphere and a decent plot, not to retarded or comic booky, gameplay is pretty bad, game is overall pretty basic and lacking.
Diablo 2 has awful repetitive and boring gameplay, everything looks the same, the classes are all dull and boring itemization is garbage items are bland stat increases 9 times out of 10, classes are unbalanced and some builds are completly usless, the atmosphere from the first game is gone and the game looks and feels like a saturday morning cartoon, the plot is deviant art levels of awful and it rapes the lore hard and the game offer's absolutely no challenge
Diablo 3 (RoS) has great gameplay with plenty of replayability and loads of extra modes, plot and atmosphere is better than 2 but not as good as 1, music is amazing and fits really well, classes are very well done and play differently from each other, spells are all useful and satisfying, the game has great items with loads of depth and customization and no one build or class completely dominating.
The only people who think D2 is good are the casuals with nostalgia goggles on, D2 was casual garbage back in the day and it still is now.

It's very similar to "Empire Strikes Back is the best," in the sense that it's a belief people are too beta and cowardly to contest so they accept it as truth, and it becomes true. Same deal with Diablo II, shit game but people grew up on it so they obsess over it and bully you if you call it out for being shit, but in the end it truly is.
It's fun as fuck but it will get boring within 2 weeks. The devs have already stated they're okay with a game that people pick up to see what's new and then stop playing a bit later, so long as you're okay with that it's fine.
Besides, it still beats LELBLADEFALLPOISON and shitty 3rd party trade websites in PoE.
