ITT: DLC done right
obligatory.
I don't think there's many DLC that differ so much from the base game. Same engine, same gameplay, same lore, but different weapons, enemies and pacing were enough to make it feel like a whole new adventure.
Pic related actually made me buy the game again to finish it and then work on the DLC

Came here to post this. It seems like a lot of Souls games DLC usually make the game better. Which in my book is "doing it right".
I thought it was fun.
>weekly DLC from the release of Rock Band towards the end of Rock Band 3
>online form to submit song requests
>DLC compatible from game-to-game
>You can use all your old DLC in Rock Band 4 as long as you stay in the same console family
>Compatible with Rock Band Blitz
I know they're just songs, but thank you based Harmonix.

Enemy Within
Easy answer.
It feels like I'm playing through a short game demo collection CD. But I'm a sucker for theater stuff in Video games.
The different playstyles from the original base game are quite engrossing. I've have fun demolishing a legion of samurai in the Nekomata Chapter
I'll like to keep the game and the DLC on my Vita since it's a title I'll replay multiple times.

>blatantly cut content
>DLC done right
Destiny has yet to see content not originally conceived for launch. It's obvious given the vid docs and e3 footage.
SFV looks like it's on the right track
Smash 4 did it well
MK8 did too
Knife of dunwall is also very good along with Undead nightmare from read dead redemption. Those are my top 3.
>>323130569
True, but its still dlc. I bought it, i played it and i love it
>>323131115
is this joke?
Red Dead Redemption
Mario Kart 8
Muramasa
Civ V
Basically any game where the DLC added new content or fixed things.
>>323128475
Could've been an entire game of its own and I still would've been satisfied
This one was AMAZING
>>323128475
>>323128475
Agreed. Artorias of the Abyss was solid fun, and the Artorias boss fight is one of the best in the game. So much fun.
>>323128475
Back in my day we used to call them "expansion packs".
>>323132145
The Fallout DLC's are solid fun for the most part

Dragonborn was the best part of skyrim.
>>323130476
How could it possibly be worse than vanilla besides lacking the sweet comfy of going through the game at the same time as everyone else with secrets around every corner
Reminder that Civ 5's DLC literally made it into like a 9/10 from a 3/10

Zombie Island of Doctor Ned, Secret Armoury of General Knoxx, Tiny Tina's Assualt on Dragon Keep and Claptastic Voyage are all amazing DLC.
>>323134487
