Can Uncharted 4 beat Uncharted 2?
I'm no game cricket but maybe.
>96 for scripted sequences: the game
B-but it's meant to be like a movie!!1
>walking around and finding places to jump, then a cinematic plays : The game
>96 on metacritic
wow
Uncharted 2 has a fucking 96? Are you kidding me? Fuck this industry.

whatsamatter?
too much fun?
not enough empty open space?
The series is pretty fun. So it might.

>there are people on /v/ that genuinely didn't like uncharted 2
I don't know about you guys but I had a fucking blast.
On one hand
>2 was completely done by Druckman and a not retarded team
on the other
>All the progress that was made with Amy's script was thrown in the trash after she left, and it's more than likely that Druckman's the one who wanted Troy Baker as Nate's brother and a black woman voiced by Laura Bailey
>And I thought TLoU was mediocre
It could go either way
Depends on the multiplayer.
How much better is 2 than 1? I got the ps4 collection and thought 1 was just ok, I wished there was a little more exploration and varied paths, and kind of got tired of the henchman alays one step ahead of you.

I don't generally have fun when my hand is being held, unless it's by a naked woman

>And I thought TLoU was mediocre
Pretty true.
I can understand the accolades for Uncharted 2, since there'd never been a competently acted and animated video game narrative ever aside from maybe Metal Gear, but there's no real relationship with the gameplay.
Very little sense of progression.
Softer narrative meant softer action.
Beating you over the head with the narrative father daughter relationship themes.
Zombies already overdone.

2 blows 1 out of the water in the best possible ways
3 is a soulless corpse dolled up to try and be like 2
>there are people in /v/ who legitimately believe that Uncharted 4 will be anything other than great
Top fucking kek, Uncharted is good you fags. Yes, even 3 was good.
It will be the best Uncharted. but it won't be better than TLOU imo

>playing Uncharted for the MP
This series is one series that shouldn't even have competitive MP. Well structured co-op would have been great, but fuck MP.
>>323121034
So, never.
Is this a bait thread or does /v/ unironically like Uncharted now?
>>323122585
>now
hi newfag
>>323122585
I guess as far as shallow movie-games you only play once go it's probably one of the better ones, but that gene is just shit to begin with because it completely misses the point of the "game" part of video game and squanders the unique advantages the medium offers.
>>323121293
Why do people hate 3?
>>323122585
Neogaf users have been on /v/ for a while, they aren't the majority. Sony's post PS2 offerings have been total shit and most of /v/ will agree. Sony is the reason the rot set in with the new bout of reviewer corruption and hipsters being obsessed with shitty interactive movie
>>323123136
This is why I didn't like U3
>guns have next to no recoil
>enemy lay out is poorly implemented
>no medals
>weapon rewards list is mostly reskinned ak-47's and pistols
>enemies no longer flinch when shot and don't react to getting shot at
>poor level design
>enemies constantly spawn behind you
>poor gun balance
>obstructive weapon reticule
Literally the only things it did better than 2 were melee and lighting. Everything else was worse by a landslide.

It feels like a pretty shallow cash-in.
Rather than make a fun adventure serial game, they made an "Uncharted" game.
They made weird changes to the designs.
Made one of the girls uglier, and tried to make the other one prettier, but it just looks like the structure of his face is weird.
The pseudo-magical part was kind of lame and really just served to make the action more tedious.
The plot is mostly in service of having a wide variety of crazy action set pieces, rather than an adventure serial plot with cool sets.
Aside from nice characterization stuff early on, it never really goes anywhere, and they explicitly destroy a lot of the tension, and none of the characters really had any sort of arc.

Yeah, the game started out fine but it shat the bed as soon as the london level ended. Damn shame.
>>323123702I remembered them marketing really hard on how it was going to explore the father-like relationship Nate had with Sully, and the South America part was pretty darn cool, and then Sully fake dies for the third fucking time, and Nate learns absolutely nothing and gets his girl back for no reason.
