Will they port Xenoblade X to the 3DS? I don't see what's stopping them since it's just a turn-based RPG.

Touhou is fine since it's so flexible. Not to mention it's fundamentally tied to the doujin scene and so many mangaka got noticed doing Touhou stuff.
The issue with KanColle is that the setting and characters are much more restrictive. To say nothing of the political subtext.

Well that's why they generally label them and sort them by the broad content at doujin events. The guys selling stuff about two boatgirls loving each other tenderly aren't going to be seated right next to the guy selling gratuitous gangrape stuff or the girls selling their fancomic about basketball players doing each other in the butt.

Low barrier of entry, attractive designs on the girls, some VAs of note attached to the girls. It's a free(mium) browser game with pretty straightforward mechanics.
