Is this the best thing that came out of bioware? and why don't more games use this system?

I honestly dont know. Would love a system like this for basically any game with companions.

Isn't this sort of like the gambit system of FF12 but expanded on a little?
>>322987160
Yes pretty much. You can give more specific commands and have more slots to play with but my question still stand why don't more games use this system? Especially games like pillars of etenity.
wutgam?

Dragon age origins.
I thought this was like always a thing in CRPGs when I played Dragon Age. I was really bummed when it wasn't in Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, or even Pillars. It makes so much sense and takes out a lot of the annoying-ass micromanaging.

Well baldurs gate has a different less complex system called script where you can assign pre made roles to your compains but fucking pillars of eternity didn't even have that.

They probably got a patent so no one else could use it
Faggots that Bioware are. They already did it once with the dialogue wheel.

fuck companions though
co-op is superior

I can get a threesome ending in Jade Empire, pretty sure there's no other western game allows this.

>They probably got a patent so no one else could use it
Surely not. It's literally the FF12 gambit system with minor tweaks. They couldn't possibly claim it as their own.
