No way in fuck I am getting Oculus or VR anytime soon though. Not enough content coupled with how new the technology is and the extreme cost of it does not make it worth it currently.
That, and I just dropped like $1500+ into a new build along with considering to get a new TV/high refresh rate monitor later this year. Those things take preference over VR.

Nah, it was fine for the longest time, then one of their "optimization" patches fucked my shit up. I get 30-45 fps no matter what settings i change. Doesn't matter if its on Lowest settings or Ultra, i get shit frames. Only on the witcher 3 do I have this problem.

I got a 4570k which is pretty much the same as a 4590k but my GPU is a 280x I got back before bitcoin miners snatched them all up. Not quite recommended specs but it should tide me over until Pascal if I lower some settings in the more intensive games.
Would a 2500k running at 4.8 ghz still suffice?

The GM204 in the GTX 970 is technically last gen too. That GPU first came out as the GTX 750 Ti.
