How are you supposed to know that giving a s ton of humanity to the Fair Lady unlocks a shortcut for which there is no prior mention, and that it is key to save a certain NPC whose fate you can't predict right off the bat?
I mean blind playthrough, no guides.
Miyazaki is probably going to drop more of this shit in Dark Souls 3. It's not big deal but we'll probably miss A LOT of content in our first playthroughs.

>and that it is key to save a certain NPC whose fate you can't predict right off the bat?
No it isn't
But most players want Solaire to die, so they can have his equips.
They usually do weird stuff like the Fair Lady quest in subsequent playthroughs.
Anyone has a nice sorcerer /wizard build for DaS2 SotfS?

Why the fuck should you know any of this?
Why should it tell you anything?
Why can't you just find out on your own, or not at all?

By replaying the game fucknuts.
That's the whole point you stupid faggot, you don't discover these things in your first playthrough, you either happen upon them, discover them yourselves or read a guide once you reach NG+.

Why can't a game have secrets?

It's almost as if the OP knows this, anon...

>How are you supposed to know
You aren't. It's a secret.

>Not wanting to give all the humanity in the world to best girl right off the bat.
I farmed humanity for her hoping she'd get better so I had unlocked the door in my first playthrough.
>git gud

>got the witch ring because it was the only one that hinted at having ulterior motive for being there.
>got the Chaos covenant because I talked to spider girl having only the witch's ring on since i didn't find any other.
>kept her covenant and fed her humanity because she was cute and top waifu.
It's the one game that rewards being a waifufag.
