The game is 7 years old. That's a long time, as quickly as it has passed by. There is no set time limit as to when you can or can't feel nostalgic for something.
I remember finally beating spyro 2 as a kid in one long sitting, I never had a memory card so I had to leave the game on overnight to keep my progress.

I think I was either in 8th grade or my first year of highschool when CE came out. I only played with friends and naturally sucked shit at it, so I bought other FPS to try and git gud with a controller. I had all the platforms and a pc at the time so I don't know why I didn't just pick up a copy and practice with that.

I remember staying at my cousin's house over christmas 2001. Since we didn't have the internet (and I only played games on a PS1) I'd never heard of the Xbox before, but my cousin got it for christmas alongside Halo CE and had it set up on a tiny CRT in the back room. The huge controller and the gameplay made the console feel futuristic and alien to me. I played for maybe 45 minutes before I was kicked off it. I was thinking about it for the rest of the day, it completely sucked me in. FPS were around for years before then, I don't know why it made such an impact on me.

I got this for PC the moment it came out. I never knew that there was a difference in quality for games at the time, I just thought PC got its own exclusives and the consoles had their own. Keep in mind I was 12 or so.
But fuck, modding that game took up so much of my time. I loved it, I was really bothered when I got an Xbox and Halo only to find out there was no XBL support. Thank goodness for Xlink Kai.
