Side note, wieners (hot dogs) are called that because they originate from sausages made in Vienna. "Wiener" is an English mispronunciation of it.

Wiener is not a mispronounciation, the town is called Wien or something similar in civilized countries, and it's the name in German which is the native language of the country where the town is located. "Vienna" is the misnamed thing.
