Entirely untrue. I'm barely a 'PC gamer' but I noticed a huge jump from 30-60 in every game when I got a new graphics card.

I doubt it does completely, I game at 7680x1440, I don't need to use AA but it's not perfect

Hate to break it to you, but higher framerates do look amazing.
I just went from a 1080p 144hz monitor to a 1440p 60hz monitor and motion (esp. first person) looked much better on the old one.
Anyone who says there's no difference between 60fps and 144fps is a sour graping motherfucker, let alone 30 and 60.
I got a 1440p vs 4k because a single 980 can push it at 60fps consistently. Dips below 50 look hideous and are unacceptable.
Getting 4k now is stupid as fuck because you're starting well behind the performance curve and will only fall futher back.
