I switched to PC gaming recently, and wow does it look like shit. It looks like pic related and has just a handful of fps.
I played Portal on Steam, and I just figured it looked bad because it was a few years old or it had low graphic quality to begin with, but then I played Dishonored and I distinctly remember it being better quality than this on the console.
As the title mentions, how do I make my PC graphics better? I received my laptop as a gift some time around 2012-ish

Change the settings under video settings or some shit. Laptops aren't good for gaming. Just so you know, the graphics card will largely determine how your game looks and runs.

Yeah, the Steam sale was ending fast this weekend, which prompted me to buy some cheap games. I also didn't want to spend a lot of money on a PC if it turned out that I wasn't that interested in PC gaming at all.
