Morrowind would be on par. I'd say New Vegas too but that was Obsidian.
I never understood the hate for Skyrim, I played that shit for a month straight after its release. I have nearly 500 hours logged on both xbox and pc. The only complaint I have is the leveling system, that's literally all I can think of.
I would let Paarthurnax pin me down and pump me full of his seed.
That said, Morrowind had the best setting. And Oblivion had better sense of exploration.
