3 has its merits, but I grew up playing Diablo and Diablo 2. The long wait for the third one embittered me a little, I think. I prefer the art style in Diablo 2. It's a bit more serious.

In comparison to D3, 2's skills looked more unique... every skill was for a different build, giving you tons of options... so in a way it actually has more skills than 3.
I will assume you don't like these kind of games, and that's what Blizzard had in mind while developing D3... a new target audience
