A new Nintendo Direct will happen the 29th of this month, Here are some stuff that will be revealed in the Direct:
Mother 3 will be on the eShop but it will be renamed "Earthbound: The Next Chapter".
SNES games will be on the 3DS eShop. The first three games you can download are Super Mario World, A Link to The Past, and Kirby Super Star.
Reggie announces that 2016 will be The Year of Donkey Kong, similar to Year of Luigi, Nintendo will release Donkey Kong related games. Reggie says "Speaking of Donkey Kong related games, check this out." and a trailer of a new Donkey Kong Country game is shown.
Indie game montage like always.
Miyamoto announces Zelda U's release date. It will release on November 18th this year.
GCN games are announced to be on the eShop. The first five games that are available after the presentation are Smash Melee, Kirby's Air Ride, Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, and Animal Crossing.

DK 2016 won't happen, especially since tropical freeze and tipping stars are out. Mother 3? Don't think so. And GCN games probably aren't gonna hit Wii U and Nintendo never once even hinted at it.

OP here, here's something I forgot to mention:
Ice Climbers will be added to Smash Bros. as a Wii U exclusive character. To make up for this, the 3DS version will get the exclusive guest character Goku.
They will release alongside Corrin and Bayonetta on February 31st.
