Buy the ultimate edition, yes. Fallout NV it's basically the same but with more mechanics. The start is too linear but once you arrive to New Vegas you'll have more options. I prefer FO3 mostly because I love the atmosphere of the Capital Wasteland over the Mojave Desert though.
You can fly planes in New Vegas. You still can't even drive cars in 4.

I always mod the fuck out of NV, play for a few minutes, and drop it. What are some mods that A. Improve the gameplay, and B. make it prettier? I want to keep the # of mods I install to be a pretty low number so I don't figuratively blow my load before I even start playing.
I guess I'm gonna use Project Nevada as a base, so where should I go from there?

In vanilla NV, every time it loaded a new area there was a 1/3 chance of the game getting on an infinite loading screen. To this day I still quicksave before going through doors.

My 360 copy is broken
