Honestly for better or for worse, the age of the cartoony platformer is basically over. You have some hanger ons like Ratchet and Clank but for the most part, most devs are done with those kinds of games.
I had fun playing smash with my friends the other night.
Lately though I've been trying to get into Netrunner. Unfortunately only one of my friends is really interested and my favorite FLGS doesn't currently have any LCG events. Gotta go to one entirely across town.

Why would you rank it lowest anon? It has (one of) the best soundtracks (let's not even talk about how bad the future series music was... ugh). The platforming was great. No easy strafe meant combat was actually difficult. Granted, 2 and 3 improved the formula in many ways but I think 1 still feels the best to play.

It's not inherently difficult due to the lack of strafe, rather it just allows the proper difficulty of encounters to shine. Also, thats just part of ratchets development. (plus the voice actor is better imo)

I don't think the devs felt the same way considering they got an entirely new voice actor for Ratchet to basically reboot his personality.
Though I can see an argument made for its character development, except I don't remember him every really apologizing for being an asshole. It was just he remained an asshole until they took down Quark, then hes just like "Ok lets be friends again"

MGS HD collection is full on 60fps and both games looking beautiful.
Vanquish and deadly premonition are 2 of the best games on that console.
Ico and SotC is worth it only for Shadow of the collosus.

But the endgame is pretty fun, good competetive, better new strikes and the raid are all great fun.
The Hunt for better gear and improving gear in the end makes it very addictinguntil you hit the top.

lvl40 yes but then it's all about your lightlevel that you get from how good your items are.
Kinda like WoW does nowadays with itemlevels.
basically it adds all levels of all items and that's the level that matters.
when you reach 40 you will have gear at around 240 light level and the max atm is around 320 or something so yea the game basically doubles its length in the end but includes a lot of grinding.
