i don't know. we were dating until last summer, and i guess when we broke up she deleted me on animal crossing so she didn't get the "anon is online!" notifications.
but a couple months ago we started talking again and everything seemed fine. it wasn't like a bad breakup, outside stuff just didn't make it possible. but a month ago she just randomly disappeared in the middle of a talk about food, my last message to her is marked as read but nothing after i realized something was up. i even called her and her phone is disconnected.
i sent her an email on christmas to just send best wishes and stuff and ask if she was okay, but no reply. and but every day my 3ds lights up because she's coming online. since she never added me again on animal crossing i don't know how to contact her at all and just ask what happened.

It's annoying how on the 3DS you can't contact your friends in any way. You can't see that someone is online and go, "Hey, wanna play Animal Crossing/Kid Icarus/Mario Kart?". You have to either contact them on some other medium, or just hope to god that they see you're online and playing a game and join in.
It's sad that Nintendo still hasn't updated their online infastructure because "Kids might be molested!!!". Just make stricter parental controls and inform the parents about it.
